Good for Iceland

Helga Margrét Þorsteinsdóttir from Iceland won the bronze medal at the World Junior Championship in Canada last week in the heptathlon. This is the first medal ever won for my little country in the WJC.

Training records for Nick and Navdeep (0)

At the same time as we are here in Alfas Del Pi, Spain some of the other members of the GL Group are at home training hard for upcoming meets. Nick Petersen that has been out of competitions since this winter is coming back stronger than ever.

The Viking to the Big Shot competition (0)

The so called Big Shot DN Galan in Stockholm invited Niklas Arrhenius to compete in their meet yesterday. This is a big honor for Niklas as all of the best shot putters in the world are invited to the meet that will be held downtown Stockholm on 5t August.

A good day in Monaco (0)

Gerd Kanter won his first Diamond League meet yesterday in the Herculis 2010 meet in Monaco. Gerd had 67.81m that is an ok result and a good victory.

Training camp in Spain (0)

Since 14 July we have been here in Alfas Del Pi outside Alicante in Spain on a training camp. Me, Gerd and Indrek came first and then Kim and Niklas on the 17th July. Märt Israel will come on the 23rd July as he was competing at home in the Estonian Championships.

Navdeep Scottish Champion in Glasgow (0)

Navdeep Dhaliwal won the discus throw today at the Scottish Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Nav nailed it in the last throw to win the gold with a throw of 50.42m.
