Training records for Nick and Navdeep

Nav, Nick, Kim

At the same time as we are here in Alfas Del Pi, Spain some of the other members of the GL Group are at home training hard for upcoming meets. Nick Petersen that has been out of competitions since this winter is coming back stronger than ever.

Nick that hurt himself in March in the back of his leg gave me a good report today that he did 18.18m none reverse today in practice at home in Broholm, DEN. That is his best ever and looks good for the meets coming up in August that he hopefully can participate in. Nick has a PR of 18.94m since he got the silver medal at the European U23 meet last year in Kaunas. In relation to this none reverse throw today he is ready to break that mark.

Navdeep Dhaliwal gave me another positive report when she threw a training PR in Birmingham, GBR of 52.09m in tailwind. Nav that last week won the Scottish Championships seems to be coming into her lifetime shape. With her old standing PR of 52.05m it seems to be history soon if things goes as it is going now.

Both of these athletes have put in tons of work this year to get where they want to be and it is fun to see the possibility is coming to them now to put it into reality and throw far.

We wish them all the best of luck. Nav will compete this weekend in two meets in Great Britain but Nick will start in the Dansih Championships on the 7th of August.
