Great personal best for Priidu Niit

Yesterday Priidu Niit threw a personal best in a little meet in his hometown in Estonia. His new PR is 57.41m.

Earlier this year Priidu had thrown in the EAA Winter Throwing in Arles in France 56.16m. Last year his PR was 55.35m.

This is a big step for Priidu in his development this year to get to throw as far with the 2kg as he did last year with the 1.75kg. Then he did 59.16m and got 6th place at the European Junior Championships with that result. It looks like that Priidu can do this and if he does he is getting very close to the magic 60m.

We hope for the best but the plan is to try to peak for the Estonian Championships on 17th July. One thing is clear Priidu Niit is a future hope for Estonia in discus as well as many other young talented throwers in this little country.
